VISIT OF ROMAN CATHOLIC PRELATES

Yesterday His Grace the Most Rev. Dr. Carr, the Catholic Archbishop of Melbourne, Dr. Higgins, Coadjutor Bishop of Sydney, anh Dr. Moore, Bishop of Ballarat, arrived in Auckland from Wellington by the steamer Tarawera. They qre concluding a brief visit to New Zealand, and have travelled through the colony from the South, having been ac the Sounds, and passed through Dunedin, Christchurch and Wellington. The prelates were shown through St. Patrick's Cathedral by the Rev. Father Hackett, and also saw some of the principal sights of the city. ■ This morning they are to visit the Catholic schools of the diocese. They leave on their return to Australia by the Tarawera, which sails for Sydney this evening.
