HOSPITAL ENQUIRY.
At tho meeting of the Charitable Aid Board yesterday a communication was received from the Inspector of Hospitals, stating that His Excellency the Governor had decided to revoke the commissions of Drs. Giles and Hassell to hold an inquiry into the Arnaboldi charges. In the place of the above-named gentlemen, Sir G. M. O'Rorke and Baron Von Mirbach had been appointed. / .in The inquiry will open to-day tit the Customhouse Buildings, Custom-street, at eleven o'clock. . The Chairman pointed out that the inquiry would in all probability cost over £100. I Mr. Udy contended that this expense should not be borne by the Board, inasmuch as they had not agreed to this commission. , . Mr. Mays remarked that he hoped this commission would not be insulted'Or, rather, would not allow themselves to be insulted. ..i «. Mr. Lennox said that he was sure that the Board would give the commissioners every facility to enable thorn to carry out their inquiry in a satisfactory manner. After some further discussion, it was agreed that the Board could do nothing in the matter, and it was resolved that the letter be received. _____
