THE WELLINGTON DRAINAGE SCHEME.
RESULT OF THE POLL. [BY TELEGRAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Friday., The poll in connection with the City Council's drainage scheme to-day resulted in the proposals being rejected. Half the number of votes and voters on the roll, 1551 and 288G respectively, were required bo be registered, while only 1244 persons voted possessing 2637 votes, and of the latter 2290 were in favour of the loan.
