HOLIDAY AT THE THAMES.

[r.Y TKJ.KGTtAPII. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. J Thames, Thursday. Bkatttiphl weather prevailed hore to-day for the holiday. The usual annual Sundayschool festivals took place, the Wesley an, Baptist, and Primitive Methodist schools holding theirs at Parawai, the Presbyterian School at Taruru, while the Church of Christ School proceeded to Warrihoe. The Salvation Army held a monster picnic at Tararu, and there was an excursion to Kerepahi Bay. There was also horse-racing at Kirikiri. So far no accidents have been reported. _______________
