THE AUCKLAND ATHLETIC MEETING.

[BY TBXKORAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Dunedin, Wednesday. The following have been finally chosen to represent the Dunedin Amateur Athletic Club at the Championship Meeting, Auckland —100 yds, R. G. Waldie; Half Mile, One Mile, and Three Mile, P. J. Ness; Long Jump, 120 yds Hurdles, and 440 yds Hurdles, John Taiaroa, One and Three-mile Walks, A. Bain.junr. Other members of the club will probably visit Auckland for the handicap events.

vViiuL..NGTON, Wednesday. At a meeting of the Athletic Association to-night the secretary was instructed to make the following entries for the Championship Meeting at Auckland: — 120 yds and 440 yds Hurdles and Long Jump, H. Batger; 100 yds, 250y<ia, and 440 yds Plat. J. M. King; Pole Jump, Long Jump, and High Jump, J. E. Hume; One and Three-mile Walks, N. McDonald; Putting Weight, R. Malcolm.

A test race meeting under the auspices of the New South Wales Amateur Athletic Association was held last week, on the Association Cricket Ground, to afford the A. A.A. an opportunity of judging as to what representatives should be sent to New Zealand to take part in the intercolonial sports meeting in February. The results were its follows :—

Mile Rack.—E. E. Corner, Sydney Harriers, 1 ; R. J. White, Sydney Harriers, 2; J. Tizard, Newcastle Centennial Harriers, 3. The men kept together for half-a-mile, when Corner went to the front, and won by 80 yards. Time, 4m 40s. Mti.e Walk.—O. Bailey, Darlinghurst Harriers, walk over. Time, 7m 255. Hundrkd Yards Rack.—W. T. Macplierson. Eastern Suburbs, 1 : A. E. Sefcon, Darlinghurst Harriers, 2. Alacpherson got away very badly indeed, but he nevertheless quickly cut Sefton clown, and won by three yards. Time, l()s. Half-mile Rack.—R. J. White, Sydney Harriers, walk-over.

Two Hundred and FtPTY Hards Race. —W. T. Macpherson, I; A. K Sefton, 2. Macpherson won by five yards without being raced to a finish. Time, 27 l-ss.
