THE YACHT MARITANA.

[BY TEHKGRAPH. —FREHe ASSOCIATION*.] Wellington, Tuesday. The secretary of the Wellington Regatta Committee received a telegram from Castle Point this afternoon from Mr. Bindon, the owner of the Auckland yacht Maritana, stating that the Maritana had put in there for shelter with all her sails blown away, and asking that the Champion Yachtßacebe postponed until Saturday to enable him to repair damages and get here. The committee asp unable to put off the regatta, but as the s(\imer Kiwi is ill the vicinity of Castlepoiut, it is thought she may tow the Maricana to Wellington if the sea has gone down.

Six yachts entered for the first-class yachtrace, including the Mascotte and Pastime, from Lytteltou, and the Maritana from Auckland. In the other events the entries are small.
