PURCHASE OF THE ROTORUA TOWNSHIP.
AN EXTRAORDINARY LETTER.
A Letter^) f which we publish a copy below. is at present in circulation amongst the natives at Rotorua. It bears tho signature, or purports to boar the signature, of H. Howarth, solicitor, Wellington, "it we can hardly believe it to be genuine, Wit urges the natives to issue a warrant tor the arrest of tho Treasurer and Native Minister on the charge of keeping back tho 'rats of the Rotorua township. We underbid that most of the owners' interests "? wo Rotorua township have been purcnased, and any claim for back rents exlnfCuislied by the purchase. Mr. Lewis, tinder-Secretary for the Native Department, 33 been at Rotorua, and has purchased a "umber more shares. The letter is as follows:
