[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] Wellington, Tuesday. . Is the Appeal Court the case of the inhabitants of the Clivo Board district (appellants) v. Guy (respondent), an appeal from a decision of Mr. Justice Conolly, was argued. The principal question at issue is whether in stopping a road the decision of the County Council as to what gives pro-perty-holders "as convenient • access " .as before, is final, or whether it can be reviewed by the Supreme Court. Mr. justice Conolly held that the Court had power to .review the Council's decision, and it is to shis ruling that the Road Board now dis•ents. Judgment was reserved. Argument jvas commenced in the case of Ryland and sons (appellants) v. the Official Assignee at Vapier (respondent), an appeal from a ■udgment of Mr. Justice Conolly. His Honor held that the pay merit to tho Sheriff upon an execution levied upon the property of J. G. Kinross within three months of his bankruptcy amounted to a fraudulent preference.
