THE NEW ZEALAND RIFLE ASSOCIATION.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PKKSS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Thursday. The programme for the next meeting of the New Zealand Rifle Association, to be held at Napier, will be circulated at the end of the month. The opening date of the meeting is not yot definitely settled, but it will probably be on the 10th of January. The ranges arc similar to last year. The standing maUili in struck out, and the kneeling match will not count for the grand aggregate. The prize money for the intercolonial match is reduced to £50. The money prizes amount to £1200. Rifle Cluba will be allowed to compete for the championship, but must fire in uniform. The chairman of the Association, Captain Sommorville, suggests the following uniform : —Dark tweed tunic with tweed bind round the waistband ; tweed trousers with brown leather leggings and deerstalker's cap. This can be worn at any time, and so will not cause extra expense. Volunteers are to fire in uniform in all competitions. A " call" of the whole of the Wild Wesb Company in made for nine o'clock thie morning, when they will go into active rehearsal of the programme to be submitted, from beginning to end. An emergency meeting of Ara Lodge thie evening at the Freemasons' Hall.
