WHY?
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—Mav I ask why Mr. Bell does not approve of ' women engaging in occupations in which they come in competition with men" ? Is it because he fears they would do the work so much better ? Being a woman, of course I want to know.—l am, &c, Mary Steadman Aldis. September 10,1890.
