The Stud. [ mHE IMPORTED THOROUGHBRED STALLION CASTOR WILL THIS SEASON BE AT THE SERVICE OF BREEDERS AT WELLINGTON PARK. CASTOR was bred by Messrs. Graham Bros., Yardley, England. He was got by Zealot (son of the famed Hermit, winner of the Derby, ISC7), dam Lady Yardley, by Sterling (sire of Isonoiuy) out of J«la, by Weatlierbit out of Wish, by Touchstone (winner of the St. Lofier, 1554) out of Hope, by Muley Moloch out of a daughter of Peter Lely out of Don John's dam, by Comus out of Marciana, by Stamford out of Mareia, by Coriander out of Faith, b; Pacolet out of Atalanta, by Matchem. CASTOR is a beautiful bright bay with black points, stands 16 hands, showing great bone, with poweri ful loins, while ho measures 0 feet round the girth. It will be seen from CASTOR'S tabulated pedigree that he is descended from the most successful strains of winning blood in the Stud Book, having no leas than 12 Derby winners, 6 St. Legers, 4 Oaks, and *4 Two Thousand Guineas winners. Amongst his ancestors are the renowned Hermit (his paternal grand sire) and the famed Sterling (his maternil grand sire), the latter being the sire of Isonoiuy, who prored himself one of the greatest horses that ever figured on the turf.
