HARBOUR SERVICE ASSOC IATION.
The fortnightly meeting of the above was held at the Working Men's Club last nitfht, there being a very full attendance. Mr. Anscombe acted us chairman. The employes of the Ferry Company were well represented. A strike levy was authorised for the assistance of the Maritime Council in the present struggle. Some members of the Association had lately interviewed the managers of the Ferry Company, in conjunction with some mombera of the Trades and Labour Council. This interview was considered by the meeting to be informal. After considerable discussion it wae resolved to adopt tho scale of hours and wages as drafted by tho employe* of the Ferry-Company, but such ecale was not to come into force at present.
