THE PROROGATION OF PARLIAMENT.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —SPECIAL REPORTER.] Wellington, Thursday. The Government at a Cabinet meeting this morning resolved that in view of the present labour difficulties it was desirable that the session should close as soon as possible instead being prolonged as some have proposed, the Executive being somewhat hampered by questions being continually put in the House. The Government will make a great effort to prorogue next week, present intention is to have an afternoon and evening sitting on Saturday. If not finished to-night; they will go on with the Public Works Estimates to-morrow, and then, proceed with various measures including the Poet and Telegraph Bills.
