On Saturday last e wife of Mr. William Edgecumbe t.l at her residence, Western Springs, atie ago of 75, and was also a very old reside of Auckland. She will be well rememred as Mrs. Tutty, a quarter of a ceo ago, when her first husband, Mr. :tty, kept the Royal George Hotel at Jvmarket for a long period. The death a'-o \\ be noticed of Mrs. Blackburne, wife of 1 Rev. Samuel Blackburne, formerly pr:ipal of St. John's College. The deceal lady died in May last in Lincoln-hire.
The funeral of X teheahan, an old Auckland resident, ho died during the week at the res id en of her son, Mr. M. J. {Sheahan, took plat: on Saturday, and, notwithstanding thahe weather was very unfavourable, was h;ely attended. The remains of the deceavl lady were interred at the North Shore. Mrs. Sheahan, who was formerly of Kajau, was of a genial and hospitable disputicJi, and was much esteemed.
