NAVAL AND MILITARY SETTLERS LAND CLIAMS.

[BY IEI.KGItAI'H. — I'KKSS ASSOCIATION , .] ChRISTCKUKCU, Friday. A MKKTiNO was held to-night of the men who consider themselves entitled to grants of land under the Naval and Military Settlers' Act, and complain that the Commissioner of Crown Lands had not fulfilled the promise made in May to enquire into about 20 claims lodged before tiie Court held that month. They are particularly anxious to have the claims investigated in time for a report to be presented at the present session of Parliament. The meeting was adjourned without deciding on any definite line of action, which irs to be fixed at a future meeting.
