■ Early yesterday the s.s. Clansman arrived from her weekly trip to Northern ports, 'bringing a good number of passengers, and the following cargo: 843 Hacks and oo cases f;tim, 87 sacks oysters, 4(j cases mullet, ■_' lorses, and 41 cases whale oil. In the evening she left for Tauranga. It is expected that the Mission schooner Southern Cross will start on her second crui.se to Melanesia about the end of next Week. Last week the s.s. Wellington, after a Week's stay in port, during which she has been thoroughly overhauled, resinned her regular running to Whangarei and adjacent ports. The brigantiue Sarah File is rapidly discharging her cargo of oranges, in good condition, at No. 2 jetty. During yesterday the New Zealand Shipping Company's chartered steamer Duke of Sutherland was busily shipping her freight cf frozen mutton for London. .She will complete her shipment this morning, the total expected being nearly 7000 carcases, and sail at 11 o clock for Kapler, to take in further euppliw. At the Customs yesterday the .schooner Three Cheers was cleared out for Newcastle. She has a full cargo of kauri timber, and will *ail to-day. The locally - owned schooner Fleetwing, -after having received a thorough overhaul and repairing, has been put in commission again in tiie coastal trade, and sailed yesterday for Whangaroa in ballast, under charge of Captain J. Con way. The Union S.S. Co's car£o steamer Ohau is tot expected to arrive until to-morrow. Shortly after noon yesterday the s..i. Waihora sailed for Oisborne and the South, with passengers and general cargo.
