A LOVER'S SUICIDE.
Mr. La.vgiia.m held an inquest at the St. George's Coroner's Court, Borough, London, a few days ago, on the body of Max Nordock Namberger, aged 20, a hairdresser, of 14, Lambeth Road, who committed suicide by shooting himself on May 1. Miss E. F. Davenport, !M, Westminster Bridge Road, said that the deceased had boon keeping company with her,«but, with the exception of a "tiff" now and then, they had had nothing like an open quarrel. She last saw him alive that day week in the Kennington Road. He did not say lie was short of money, but told her that his father wanted him to marry another young lady in Germany. The coroner : To which he was opposed ? Yes, he was. Witness added that the deceased had been very strange in his manner of late, and had been under a doctor. He was a man of sober habits. He had threatened to destroy himself, but she looked upon it as a joke. Police-constable 31 L produced a letter which he had found on deceased's bed on May 1, after he had shot himself. The deceased, he said, was lying all his length across the floor, dead. He had a wound in his forehead, and a revolver was lying by his side. A letter of the deceased to a friend was read, in which lie asked him what he would think when he heard that he had shot himself dead. He also referred to his bride, and said ho loved her very much. The cot oner : Does " his bride" refer to you or to the lady in Germany ? Witness I think it referred to me. A letter was also read from Miss Davenport, in which she said she knew the deceased was worrying himself about her, and she suggested that he should proceed to Germany and marry the young lady there. The deceased's employer said he had appeared very strange lately, and at last witness was compelled to discharge him. The jury brought in a verdict of "Suicide whilst temporarily insane."
