NEW NATIVE LAND COURT JUDGE.

[BY TELEGRAPH. press association.] Wellington, Thursday. It is stated that Major Gudgeon, Commissioner of Police, is to be appointed Native Land Court Judge, and that he will be succeeded by Lieutenant-Colonel Hume, who also retains his present office of Inspector of Prisons.
