THE WELLINGTON TRAMWAYS.
[ay TELEGRAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wki.linoton, Friday. The Trades and Labour Council have decided to insist on the Tramway Company accepting the same terms as the Omnibus Company—namely, (Hi hours per week for grooms and 7- for guards. The wages for drivers, 45s per week ; for guards, '20s to 2os; grooms, 40s to -IDs; tho minimum only to apply to new and unskilled hands. Tho Council consider the scheme proposed by the tramway owners to be visionary and unstable, and intend, if necessary, to enforce the adoption of their proposals.
