Prett Association.— Telegraph.—Copyright. London, May 29. Fine weather is being experienced for the match Australians v. Lancashire Eleven, which bogan at Manchester, to-day. The wicket is in perfect order. The visitors went first to the wickets, and Barnett and Murdoch both fell victims to the bowling in the first over. The incomers, however, made a better stand, and when the fifth wicket fell the score stood at 113. Later. Ten thousand people were present at the match between Australia and Lancashire. The scoring was very rapid owing to the fast wicket. In the first innings the Australians scored 316. Trott played splendidly for 61, Turner for 48, Lyons for 34, Burns for 35, Ferris for 34, Trimble for 31, and Gregory not out for 59. The tail of the team batted brilliantly. Lancashire have lost 2 wickets for 52 runs. Blackham is suffering from his chest, having been struck by a ball in the match against Lord Sheffield'B eleven. The injury, however, is nob of a serious-nature.
