RAILWAY ACCIDENT.
Sydney, May 28. A coal train near Singleton, on a private line, ran away, owing to the breaking of the coupling iron. A quantity of rolling stock was smashed, and the guard narrowly escaped injury.
SOUTH AUSTRALIAN TREASURY RILLS.
Adelaide, May 28. Tenders for half a million treasury bills have been opened. £324,000 has been offered, varying from par to 30s premium, and including £200,000 at par.

Melbourne, May 28. The want of confidence debate is pro. ceeding. The Premier defended tiw Budget in a speech of great length, and severely handled Mr. J. Munro lor saying that the Budget was a fraud and sham.
