MRS. DARNELL'S CONDITION.

Mrs. Delia Parneix, mother of the Irish leader, writes to a New York morning paper, April 28, contradicting a story to the effect that she is not destitute, and reiterating her former statement. She says : —" Pen and pencil fail to pourtray extreme cases, and none has told my extreme sufferings from cold, too, that has been digging to mo for weeks, I would not now be alive but for the benevolent people who have provided for me ; for, at my advanced age, I was fast dying of cold and starvation."
