THE RAILWAY SERVANTS.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.]
Christchprch, Friday. The Executive of the Railway Servants Society have written to the Manawatu Railway Company, stating that their employes complain of the insufficiency of tha staff employed, and requesting them to remedy the matter complained of.
Wellington, Friday. The Railway Commissioners, to-day, wrote to the executive of the Railway Employes' Society, expressing their willingness to receive a deputation from the Society to discuss the matters in dispute. They have also issued a circular to employes to the effect that they are prepared to give the necessary leave, and pay reasonable travelling expenses to the delegates from amongst themselves who visit Wellington to set forth their grievances.
