X>ROS PECTUS -"- OF THE HAZELBANK LICENSED HOLDING. This Licensed Holding is situated on the Kuranui Hill, Moanataiari Creek, Thames Goldflelds ; area, 7 acres 2 roods 12 perches—being 22 men's ground. It comprises the following well-known gold-pro- , ducing mines, viz. : Hazclbank, Kelly's, Belfast, Poverty, ami Charleston, and is peg ami peg with , the Caledonian and Colter's section of the Kuranui Hill United, in which is included the famous Lour Drive Mine. This Holding may fairly bo said to be the heart of the Thames Goldfleld,—on the one side the wellknown Caledonian Mine, which produced £717,991 in one year's work : and on the other .side the Long Drive Mine, which produced a very rich patch of gold. The whole of the gold lined from the Hazelbank, Kelly's, Belfast, Poverty, and Chadston, was obtained from the upper levels, as a great portion of the holding has not been worked much below the creek level, and in no case has any work been done below the Caledonian low-level 340 ft. drive. It has been definitely ascertained, by survey and observation, that the underlie of the Caledonian reef goes right into and through the mine ; and the late manager of the Caledonian (who worked tho mine during the time the enormous quantity of gold was taken from it) has unhesitatingly stated to more than one person, that the Caledonian run of gold will be found in the Hazelbank portion of this holding. The objects for which these Shares are offered for sale are as follow : Firstly, to provide funds for the erection of a Battery to treat the surface dirt, of which there is a largo quantity in the Holding which is more than payable : secondly, to thoroughly develop the Hazelbank Section of (the Holding, with a view of determining if the Caledonian run of gold exists in the Caledonian reef where it underlays into and through the Hazelbank Section, plana of which can be seen at Mr. ]•'. A. White's office, S3, < Queen-street, Auckland. ' It will he remembered that the present proprietors ask no monetary consideration out of proceeds of Shares sold, as they are so convinced of the bona fidis of the venture that they are willing to wait the outcome, in which they will share pro rata with purchasers of shares, and they will also contribute pro rata with purchasers of shares in all expenses of the Mine, should the funds provided by the sale of shares become exhausted. The whole of the funds derived from the sale of shares (less expenses of sale) are to be expended in the erection of a Battery and in developing the resources of the Mine. There are 170 shares in the Holding, 70 of which aro now offered to tho public at £30 per share,—£lo on application, £10 on allotment, and .€lO within three months from date of aoplication.
