STRIKE OF MINERS.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. DONEDIN, Thursday. Something like a strike has occurred at the Freeman's Colliery, Green Island. Since the introduction of the eight hours system on Monday, the owner has not received enough wal to supply customers, and on his asking the men if they intended to give him coal Enough for his trade, as he wanted that or nothing, the men dropped their tools, and 'eft. So far there are 31 men out, of the 42 engaged.
