THE WEATHER.
Tiikkk appears to bo no break in the spoil of wet weather as yet. Last evening •Jupiter I'luvius was still in the ascendant, as he has been for over a week. Mr. Varley, at his meetings, lias hinted more than once that less rain and more sunshine would be acceptable, but there is no prospect, as yet, of his wishes being realised. Telegraphic communication was. yesterday afternoon, interrupted south of Herbert. the first, station south of Napier, but was restored later in the evening, [BY TELEGRAPH. — OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Wiiancakki, Monday. The- north-caster finished up to-day with a deluge of rain. No news is to hand from llukereiiui, as communication is cut oil'. The lloods will be rising there now, and are likely to be very heavy.
