ECCLESIASTICAL.

At St. Paul's to-mprrow (Easter Day) there will be celebrations of the Holy Communion both at 8 a.m. and at mid-day. The subjects of sermons by the incumbent are, in the morning and evening respectively, " Easter Teaching " and "Victor Over Death. The services throughout the day .will be ot course festal in character, and will include two well-known anthems, viz., Christ Being Raised " (Elvey) and " Break Forth Into Joy " (Barnby). , TiJ .u , ~ The festival music at St. Matthews tomorrow will include Sewell's anthem, lhis Is The Day" in the morning service, and Smart's " The Lord Is My Strength ' in the evening. At the conclusion of the latter service Dr. Moore's My Evening Prayer will be sung. The preacher in the morning will be the incumbent, and in the evening the Rev. J. Duncan Ozanne, M.A., Oxon. At St. Mary's Cathedral Church, Holy Communion at 8 and 11 a.m. ■ Services at 8 and 11 a.m., and at 6.30 p.m. The services throughout the day will be choral. On the following Sunday (First Sunday after faster J, April 14th, harvest festival services will be At the Church of ; St. Thomas, Unionstreet, First Evensong, Saturday, sth, at 7.30. The anniversary services of the Pitt-street Wesleyan Sunday-school will be held tomorrow, when the Rev. C. H. Garland will preach morning and evening, and deliver an address in the afternoon at 3 o'clock. There will be special music by the scholars. The annual soiree will take place the following Tuesday, when addresses will be given by ministers and other friends. At Grafton Road Wesleyan Church Mr. W. Hogg will preach in the morning and Mr. S. Parker in the evening. Mr. J. L. Wilson will preach at St. John s, Ponsonby, in the morning, and the Rev. J. Rishworth in the evening. At the Tabernacle Pastor Birch will preach morning and evening. The Rev. B. L. Thomas will preach morning evening at Mount Eden Congregational Church. At Bercsford-street Congregational Church, morning, the Rev. J. S. Rishworth, Onehunga, will preach and administer the ordinance of the Lord's Supper; evening, the pastor will discourse on " A Scene at the .Sepulchre." The anniversary services of the Franklin Road Primitive Methodist Church Sundayschool will be held to-morrow, when the Rev. A. J. Smith will preach in the morning, the Rev. James Chew in the afternoon, and the Rev. W. Laycock in the evening. Special hymns by the children. Efficient orchestra. Public soiree on Tuesday evening. Chairman, Dr. Knight; speakers, Revs. A. J. Smith and W. Laycock, and Mr. E. Wood. Singing and recitations by scholars. At the Primitive Methodist Church, Alexandrastreet, Rev. W. Laycock will preach in the morning, and Rev. A. J. Smith in the evening, subject, " Freedom from Sin Explained"; a review of Mr. Valley's address. The Rev. W. C. Woodward will preach at the Pitt and Edwin-street Church, morning and evening. At Eden Terrace, Rev. W. C. Woodward in the afternoon ; evening, Mr. Keith. Mr. Henry Varley will give an address tonight, at the Salvation Army Barracks, at eight o'clock. On Sunday i.iternoon, at halfpast two, he will address a meeting at the crater, Mount Eden. In consequence of this gathering, there will be no afternoon meeting at the Y.M.C.A. on Sunday. Mr. Varley will deliver an Evangelistic address at the City Hall, Sunday evening service commencing at 7.30. All are invited, especially non-churchgoers and strangers. At the Temperance Hall to-morrow evening, the Rev. E. H. Gulliver will give the first of a series of lectures on the " Service of Man.". A remarkable work published under that title by the late T. Cotter Morison will be dealt with in these lectures..

Mr. George Aldridge will lecture on Sunday evening in the Foresters Hall: Subject, " Looking Backward." A Holiness Convention will be held in the Tabernacle on Monday evening, at 7.30, when Pastor Birch will preside. The Salvation Army will hold special meetings at the Albert-street Barracks on Sunday. On Easter Monday, "an old-fashioned camp meeting" at St. Heliers Bay, starting at 9 a.m.; and on Easter Tuesday, auniversay banquet at Barracks, at 6 p.m. Col. Taylor in command, assisted by Mrs. Taylor, Major Rolfc, and twenty field officers.
