Many hundred additional arrests of students have been made for demanding the restoration of privileges. The action the authorities have taken in regard to the matter has aroused the indignation of the populace, and there is intense excitement throughout the country. A rising of the peasantry has taken place at Kidman, but it was suppressed after a good deal of fighting and bloodshed. A rebellion of the peasantry in Finland is feared.
