ANNUAL CHURCH MEETINGS.

» The annual meeting of Sfc. Stephen's Presbyterian Church, Ponßonby, was held on Wednesday. There was a thin attendance. The report read showed that the attendance at public worship has increased, and the number of seat-holders and communicants has considerably improved. The revenue for the year was £412 10s 7d and expenditure £406 4s 4d. Attendance at Sunday-school had increased. There were funds in hand to increase the library. The Band of Hope was flourishing, and the choir bad done excellent service. Thanks were accorded to the ladies for their successful efforts in connection with social gatherings, Mid for the presentation of a pulpit gown to the minister. Acknowledgments were also made of the presentation of a pulpit Bible and baptismal font. The report was adopted unanimously. The vacancies in the committee were filled up by the election of Messrs. John Ross,- T. Hall, and James Haslett. The pastor said the imSttvement in the church was satisfactory, e liked, the people, and would do his best for them. By mutual co-operation the church would be improved spiritually and financially.
