BOWLING TOURNAMENT.
[BY telegraph.-— press association.] Ddnkdin, Thursday. In the afternoon, on the Dunodin Green, Christchurch and Dunedin played an interclub match. Dunedin led from the start, and when each rink had played 21 heads the scores stood : Dunedin, 63; Christchurch, 56 ; majority for Dunedin, 10. Oamaru also met the Dunedin club at the same time. In this match the visitors had the lead up to half-time, but Dunedin then went went ahead and won by 13 points. On the Caledonian Green, New Plymouth and Wanganui combined played two rinks ; Invercargill and Nelson played Green Island one rink, Green Island winning by eight points. Later on, the Canterbury Club and the Caledonian Club tried conclusions, the local men eventually winning by 32 points. On the Roslyn Green the Phoenix (Oamaru) played the Roslyn Club two rinks. Each game resulted in a tie, each scoring 45. This was the only instance in which visitors who met the local men were nob defeated.
