Mr. Parkrs, the editor of the North London Press, who was charged with criminal libel for connecting LordEuston with the West End scandals, has been sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment. His witnesses failed to identify Lord Euston as an habitue of the house where the alleged offences were committed. The Judge, in summing up, was adverse to the defendant. His Honor characterised it as an atrocious libel. Parkes alleged that witnesses on whom he relied betrayed him.
