THE WHEAT YIELD IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA.
The Deputy Surveyor-General, who is chairman of the Northern Land Board, has. just . returned to Adelaide after, an extended trip . through to the North with the Board. He estimates the wheat * yield in 23 Hundreds through which he traversed as ranging from 12 to 15 bushels an > acre. - Red rust has made its appearance, but it is not likely to seriously lessen i the yield/-'! The -late crops •' show rust more than those sown earlier.
