[BY TKLKGRAPH. —OWN COItRKSPONDENT.] "Wellington, Saturday. ; The case of Mahonoy v. Fergus was resumed this morning. Tho defendant was examined as a witness. "He denied the contract, and affirmed that the work done by plaintiff was- a part of plaintiff's duty to the Government. Mr. Bell, defendant's, counsel, when the Court oponed, moved for a nonsuit on the question of contract, but Mr. Justice Richmond refused to take the case from tho jury. It was further adjourned.
