THE FEDERAL COUNCIL.
Adelaide, October 15. The Legislative Council has rejected a proposal to increase the representation on the Federal Council. This will probably nullify the resolutions passed by the other colonies favouring an increase.
STRIKE IN ADELAIDE. Adelaide, October 15. The brickmakers have struck for an increase in wages.
