October S.—The s.s. Clansman arrived at 10 a.m. after a rou?h passage. It is blowing hard from the N.W. Two schooners have sailed with coal.

Octobers. —Sailed : Annie Wilson, for Kaipara, with a full cargo of produce. S.s. Takapuna, for Wellington. Passengers: Misses Gee. Hyndman, Paul, Hon. Geo. McLean, Messrs."Walrond, McLean, E. Taylor, Ranken. S.s. Tarawora, for Melbourne; s.s. Mahinapua, for Dunedin via Timaru.
THE WRECK OF A BARQUE. Wellington, October B.Captain Bendall, Marino Surveyor, made an inspection of the barque Willie McLaren yesterdnv, and reports that little difficulty will be exj>erienced in floating the vessel. It is expected that the barque will be sold along with the cargo where she lies. It has been ascertained that the coal on board is insured in the North Queensland office for £700.
