[BY TELEGRAPH.—TRESS ASSOCIATION.] ! HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. Monday. The House met at 7.30 p.m. ALLEGED BREACH OF PRIVILEGE. The Minister ok Justice laid on tho table of the House a copy of the WardChristie correspondence. Mr. R. Reeves directed tho attention of the House to the fact that the New Zealand Times had committed a breach of privilege, by publishing what purported to be a summary of the correspondence. Mr. Fish moved, "That the article in the Times be read." A lengthy discussion, lasting two hours, ensued, and ultimately the motion was negatived on the voices. THE REPRESENTATION BILL. The adjourned debate on the second reading of the Representation Bill was resumed by Mr. Tanxek, ho denied that there was any antagonism between town and country as the city members had represented. l)r. Newman twitted the Government with inconsistency, in first bringing in a Bill to provide for the Hare system, and then immediately afterwards bringing in this Bill, which was so monstrously unfair to the cities. Mr. Mackenzie, Clutha, supported the motion for the second rending, indicating certain amendments which lie would suggest in committee. Mr. Humphries moved the adjournment of the debate, which was agreed to. The House rose at 10.40 p.m.
