\ New ALAND Hkrai.d Office, I Monday evening. Thv. Customs duties to-day amounted to £870 1 -4s 3d. At Messrs. Cochrane and Son's mart today several country and town properties were offered for sale. An acre of land in Howick township was sold for £10 10s. but a farm at Waitakerei and 10 acres at Whangarei were passed. An allotment in Richmond Road, 41) feet frontage, with buildings, realised £77 10s, while a section in Unionstreet, 42 by 210, found a purchaser at I'll per foot,
GRKYMOI "TH. July 22. —At the cattle sale to-day. SS head were yarded, all from Wanganui. Prices ranged from £7 if* to a.< low a>; £6 JOs. Some bullocks wont as low a.?> 16s per lOOlbs for ■ "ink' beef : others went as Irish as t'Os. There whs a large supply of fat sheep, ami a fair demand. The quality was »ood. Sheen ranged from lis to ISs per head. Mutton is quoted nt 3d to Sid per lb.
