Tuesday evening, May 14. boing wefc, the monthly meeting of the Bombay Band of Hope was held in the Wesleyan Church on Tuesday, the 21st. The attendance was jrood. The president, Mr. Morgan, was in the onair. The meeting was opened with praise and prayer, and after a few remarks from the chairman, the following programme wim gone through : viz : —Reading by the chairman ; recitation, Mies S. Sharp ; ruling, Miss Smith: recitation, Miss Emily Carter; reading, Mies M. Buttimore: recitation, Mies Farrar; reading, Miss Gillon; recitation, Mies Martha Buttimore; duet, Mies Sawyer and Lizzie Cornthwaite; recitation, Mr. R. Clements; recitation, Ally Co-rnthwaite ; dialogue, Misses J. and L. Cornthwaite; recitation, Master Donald Wordon; reading;, Mies Sawyer ; recitation, Miss Liw.ie Cornthwaite ; selections from Hoyles were iuteraperscd throughout the programme and heartily sung, Miss Sawyer presiding at the organ. At the meeting which takes place on Tuesday, the 11th of June, Mr. Can , , from Auckland, will deliver au interesting lecture. —[Own Correspondent.]
