EGMONT RACING CLUB'S MEETING.

Hawera, Thursday. The Eginont Racing Club's Meeting took place to-day. The weather was fine, and the attendance fair. The following were the results of the principal events :-—
Maiden Stkeplechash of 40sove, about two miles.—Clarice won easily. Dividend, £2.
Handicap Hack Huiidlks of 20sovs, one mile and a-half. —Takapau (9st), who went away with the lead, was never headed. Dividend, £4. Flying Handicap of 40sovs, six furlongs.— Cyclone (7st), 1; Rewarewa (7st), 2. Cyclone won easily. Time, Imin 17sec. Dividend, i'l 14s. Komont ST&BPMSCHABE of 120sovs, about three miles.— Rossitei- (9st fllb), 1; Orangeman (lOst 111b), 2. Oddfellow fell. Dividend, £910s. THE ADELAIDE WATERLOO CUP. Adelaide, May 30. At the coursing meeting at Buckland Park yesterday the Waterloo Cup was won by Mozart. AUCKLAND WINTER MEETING. Acceptances for the Great Northern Steeplechase and Hurdle Race, together with nominations for tho other events of the programme, are due to-night, at eight o'clock. The rights and privileges in connoctjon with the meeting are to be offered by auction by Messrs. Tonks and Co. to-day, at noon, and the fact that the gates are to be thrown open free to the public will sure to be the mea,Hß of making the competition keen.
