THE PROPOSED CONFERENCE OF ACCLIMATISATION SOCIETIES.
[BY TEIJSGRAFH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, Tuesday. The matter of the conference of the various societies was considered by the committee of the Acclimatisation Society to-day. A committee was appointed to prepare a statement of the views of the society on the various points submitted at the Canterbury Society, and it was decided to ask the membor for the Canterbury Society to represent Otago. One member said he would never support the proposal to put down shooting on Sunday. Others agreed that they might as well try to fly as to try to impose a gun licence.
