JUVENILE CRIME.
[BY TELEGRAPH.— association.] Dunkdin, Tuesday. Another of those cases of juvenile crime, becoming so rife, was before the Police Court to-day, when four boys, ranging from 10 to 15, were charged with breaking the brass fittings off a portable engine, and selling them. Three of the lads were sentenced to whipping, and one, aged 15, to seven days' imprisonment. The Bench commented severely on the conduct of parents in not looking after their children, and on the woman who had purchased fittings from the boys.
