Some weeks ago a tourist travelling in the Lake district, at Taupo, mob with a painful accident. lie went to bathe at one of the baths at night, and accidentally stepped into a hot spring, scalding his feet. He came down to Roiorua, where he stayed for some time, and thence on to Auckland, where lie lias found it necessary to enter the District Hospital for medical treatment.
