SIR ROBERT STOUT ON THE EDUCATION SYSTEM.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRKSS ASSOCIATION.] Donedin, Tuesday. At the election of a school committee fot-Arthur-street Sir R. Stout, in the course of some remarks, said : " If he had his way he would not allow the results of inspec- L tors' examinations to be made public, but would publish, broadcast the results of sur- • prise visits, because results could be much better judged by them. He believed ib was a mistake to abolish Education Boards-, and create a mongrel body between com mittees and Boards. Whatever else went the committees should be retained." '
