[BV TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] 1.-iikistchmen, Friday. The North Canterbury Hospital Board today estimated that the amount required lotnext year's operations would be £9253. The sum to be contributed by local bodies is £-944, and £1000 was placed on tho Estimates for a lock ward. Notice was given of a motion for raising a loan to purchase the Addington gaol from the Government for a lock hospital, and recommending the Government, to build a criminal lunatic prison at Sunnyside.
