♦■ , London, March 24. Tallow is firm, and advancing slightly. Medium mutton is 24s 6d; ditto beef,, 225. Hides: First heavy ox, 3£d; first light ox and first cow, 3§d. Sugar is advancing. German beet is 14s 9d ; Java ditto, 17s 6d. The English wheat market 13 de* pressed, and the Continental is declining. The American shows a slight improvement. Forward business is weak, and only transacted at a decline, arrivals of foreign wheat are large, and off coast cargoes are not meeting with ready sales. New Zealand Hemp is quoted at £37 5s to £37 10s per ton.
