FIRE AT MANGAWAI.

A fire occurred at) Mangawai on Monday last, by which a respectable, hard-working settler lost a nice little house. It appears that Mrs. Gabolini, was away a short distance from the house in the bush, and upon returning found the house burned down with its contents. Mr. Gabolini was digging gum at the flat, and was only told of it on the day following, as Mrs. Gabolini had no means of sending word to him. She fortunately had a shed where she found sholter for the time. The house was comparatively a new one, and was insured for a small amount. Correspondent.]
