TO UGHINO THE LIVER. — — The stimulant effects of Wolfe's Schnapps seem to stir the liver to action, and thus abate many of the nuisances incident to its stagnancy. For a torpid liver it cannot be equalled. ___ There were in the look-up last; evening three prisoners, namely, Peter Peterson, for larceny as a bailee of a watch value £2 10s, andfrandulently converting it to his own use; Win. Elder, for larceny; and John Jere, alias Pritchard, for begging. . The police are now making a clean sweep of the streets of all the vagrants who are detected begging, a3 it is found they > are simply impostors, who spend the money given to them by the charitable in drink. ■ ;
