THE DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB. [Br TELEGRAPH. PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Donedin. Monday. At the annual meeting of the Dunedin Jockoy Club the report stated that the fears as to the shrinkage of revenue have not been realised to any extent. There has been a substantial profit on each of the six meetings held. The Hon. G. McLean, in a speech, hinted that other arrangements would have to be made in connection with the course. Other courses were available to the olub, but after the large amount of money spent on the Forbury course it was desirable that they should remain there.

It has been under the consideration of the club the getting up of a big meeting to be hold in Is ovember next, at the opening of the Exhibition, with stakes rich enough to attract people and entries from the whole colony, and probably from Australia. Beresford has been struck out of the Dunedin Cup. The s.s. Gairloch, which left the Manukau yesterday for New Plymouth, took the racehorses Escutcheon, Clogs, and Cushla to fulfil their engagements at the Taranaki meeting to be held on Wednesday and Thursday.
