INTRIGUES IN AFGHANISTAN. Press Association.— Telegraph.—
St. Petersburg, January 13. Russia is increasing her army by a hundred thousand riflemen, and ten new brigades of artillery. The frontier guards in Turkestan have also been largely reinforced. Calcutta, January 13, A rumour has reached here that Russian agents are persuading Ishak Khan to renew the rebellion against the Ameer, and have promised him assistance.
