SPORTING.
The yearling colt by St. Leger—Raupo, purchased at the Sylvia Park sale last week on behalf of Mr. H. Haines, of Melbourne, was shipped to Sydney yesterday fay the s.s. Wairarapa. The following are the various amounts paid over to owners of horees that competed at the late summer meeting of the Thames Jockey Club:—Mr. C. Pago, £90; Mr Waterford, £77 10s; Mr. H. Edgecumbe, £70; Mi-. L. A. Levy, £65; Mr. G. Loram £45; Mr. C. Winder, £40; Mr. J. Chadwick £25; Mi-. N. Dickey, £20; Mr. Styak, £14Mr. Hapeta, £10; Mr. Bennett, £10: Mr. Burrell, £10 ; Mr. Henwood, £5. Horseowners are notified that nominations for Hurdles and Cup, to be run at the Waipa Racing Club's Meeting, close with the secretary, Te Awamutu, and Mr. W. W. Robinson, TattersaU's Club, Auckland, to-night. Nominations for the various events of the Onehunga Racing Club's Meeting are due tomorrow. Acceptances for the principal events of the Taranaki Jockey Club's Summer Meeting, together with entries for the other events of the same programme, are due to-morrow, particulars of which will be found set forth in an advertisement appearing in another column.
